Performance Troupes

What are performance troupes?

Troupes are a way for you to dig deeper into your dance experience. You meet with the same group for 2 hours for a full semester, to learn routines and fine tune them to a performance-ready level.

At the end of the season, Alchemy troupes will put on a performance that you can bring your friends & family to so you can show off your hard work!

What’s “The Alchemy Way”?

Most performance troupes assume formal dance training (or something similar). At Alchemy, we don’t want that to hold you back, so we built our troupes so differently from the norm so folks newer to performative dance feel welcome.

Unlike other studios, where you’ll find a hip hop, contemporary, lyrical and jazz troupe, Alchemy troupes are based on the elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Air & Aether. Each one has a different vibe and can incorporate all sorts of different styles!

It leaves our instructors feeling free to get creative, our dancers less intimated to try something new, and still pushes everyone a little bit out of their comfort zones.

Auditions

Since we’re doing things so weird over here, auditions will also be a little funky too. Everyone signs up for an audition time. All the dancers audition for all the troupes and simultaneously get to test out the flavor of each troupe & instructor that’s happening this semester.

After auditions, you’ll learn which troupes you are eligible for, and you get to choose your favorite one (or two or three)!

Tuition can be paid as 5 installments, monthly from August 15th through December 15th, or in full at a discounted rate. Additional discounts apply for Alchemy members and for anyone doing more than one troupe. Check it out!

  • Non-Members: $105/mo

  • Non-Members (>1 troupe): $95/mo

  • Members: $85/mo

  • Members (>1 troupe): $75/mo

Tuition includes instruction, team tee, performance fees, and photo session at the end. If we make a video, that will be included as well! This does not include costumes or team outings!
